This Alto Is Faster Than Civic – Owner Review

This owner review is quite interesting and intriguing as Suzuki Alto in the video is apparently faster than Honda Civic; surprised? We were also, so here are the details. The said car is the Suzuki Alto 2021 with an import of 2022, and its variant is Alto Works, meaning it is a CBU unit of the vehicle.

Suzuki Alto Works

As per the owner, there are three variants of this car, i.e., Eco with CVT transmission, RS Turbo, and then there is a track variant called Works, which is this one.

Price

He told us that the cost of this car varies between Rs. 35 to Rs. 45 lacs, depending on its model and condition.

Brakes & Suspension

Good brakes are essential with high-speed engines, and the owner has just done this. “I have installed aftermarket Carbon Ceramic Brakes by Endless, which perform even better after becoming hot,” he stated. Furthermore, the suspension has also been updated with KC Technicia Coil Overs, and stability bars are installed in front and back.

For stability, the owner has installed semi-slick tyres in the car.

Turbo

The owner has also upgraded the Turbo, as its stock produces 0.6 bar, while the aftermarket one generates 1.5 bar.

Fuel Economy

Although it is a Turbo car with All-Wheel Drive (AWD), the fuel economy at normal speed is still very good at 18-19km/liter. “And if you drive it like Honda Civic, its average will be dropped to 13-14km/liter,” he added.

Talking about the fuel, the owner said that although Hi-Octane is best for this car, it runs smoothly even on regular petrol. “You can drive this car on 92, 95, and 98 Octane, and the Stock one can run on 88 Octane,” he told us.

Ground Clearance

The owner has lowered his car, but its height can be adjusted accordingly. “The stock ground clearance of this and local Alto is almost the same,” he said.

Parts Availability

Although most of its parts resemble locally assembled Alto, its front lights are different and very expensive. “Both headlights cost over Rs. 1.5 lacs, and it is quite hard to find these,” the owner stated. This is quite costly, and to avoid any problem, one should get their car insured.

Meanwhile, the cost of its Kabuli Turbo is around Rs. 50-60,000, while the price of Performance Turbo is around Rs. 2 Lacs.

Salient Features

The other salient specs and features of this car are:

  • Push Start
  • Heated side view mirrors
  • Climate Control
  • Recaro front seats
  • Suede Leather rear seats
  • Genuine privacy glasses

Stability

The owner said the car is very stable and doesn’t wobble at even 170-180km/hour speed.
