Car transfer is an integral part of the used car trade and should be done promptly. To make this process much more efficient, the Punjab Government has launched an online app called ePay Punjab. Through this app, users can easily transfer a car to their name or pay any type of taxes and fees due to them. Let’s walk you through the process.

Process of Car Transfer in Punjab

Firstly, download the ePay Punjab app on your IOS or Android devices. After opening the app:

• Click on Excise and Taxation.
• Choose a car transfer.
• Enter the vehicle’s registration number which you intend to transfer.

This will generate the necessary credentials, including the owner’s name, last paid token tax, and transfer fee. Click on generate challan, and you will be given a unique PSID number to pay the transfer fee.

After paying, a reference number will be generated against which the seller and buyer can provide biometric identification in their nearest NADRA offices. After both parties have done this, you can get your car inspected at the Excise office, and your car will be successfully transferred.

This process does not require any excessive documents like a car’s file, forms, etc., and can be done pretty easily.
